The Internet And Cyberspace
Internet 2 is a wealth of innovation and information for billions of people
Billions of inventions ,businesses , jobs , social interactions now occur on Internet 2
Yet the injustice to me continues , says the inventor
“My ideas of using cyberspace [which is the potentially infinite carpet that lays out the Internet] for transactions were used by the government to build the most successful invention of the 20th Century and yet I continue to be oppressed and my rights violated”, says Inventor.
The Internet had been in existence since 1967 but did not begin to grown and develop until after 1990 due to the intellectual contributions of this woman who opened the Internet to the waves of cyberspace that now exist to serve billions of people .
The Inventor’s home has been vandalized , she is being victimized with a fraudulent mortgage foreclosure when she had a 705 credit rating which included her mortgages being paid on time . In addition to being robbed of potentially billions of dollars of income because of the theft of her intellectual property which has been handed off as a gift to corporations without credit to her – the inventor is being subjected to the threat of losing her home . Although the case Dorothy Hartman vs. Mellon Bank et al , Case No. 13-1909 has been in court for sometime – no jury trial has occurred yet . Those of you with access to Pacer.gov can follow the case online . Although the inventor remains hopeful that she will experience justice in reference to the issues confronting her since trusting her intellectual property to governmental agencies – thus far justice has been elusive and abuse by powerful agencies overwhelming .
Where is Justice when it comes to rights of Blacks in this country ? Slavery is not far enough in the past .From week to week reports of young black people suffering or dying at the hands of so called law enforcement are coming to light . This is the tip of the iceberg . How much is hidden ? How can a nation watch a man Rodney King being beat to within an inch of his life and not say that it is excessive force ? Or watch young people slammed to the ground or beaten even choked to death when they were supposedly resisting ? ” Resisting ” seems to be disagreeing with what the officer is doing or saying . In other words you cannot even ask a question if you are black . If you object to the way you are being treated , then you automatically become the criminal . Just opening your mouth to speak up for your rights endangers the life of a black person . The perpetrator no matter how criminal his acts or how vile is the good guy by virtue of his/her race race , class , or position .
How long will the death of young people like Sandra Bland ,Eric Garner , Freddie Gray ,Michael Brown and others be allowed to happen without severe consequences to the perpetrators . Or injustice tolerated for African-Americans in both criminal and civil affairs ? What is happening in Greece and other areas of the world should be a lesson to anyone that greed and oppression will use racism and separation from wealth to hurt anyone . What is done to the least of us is done to all . Our justice system and law enforcement needs to be revamped with ethics , morals , and the law in mind instead of politics .
